Critical Issues
Since 2016, Open & Local has brought people together to discuss challenges, opportunities, and priorities.
Most recently, we’ve engaged in conversations to address the housing crisis, and many network members are contributing input to the City of Bozeman’s Local Food System Preliminary Mapping project.
Open & Local Coalition seeks to expand our capacity to facilitate conversation, offer learning opportunities to our community, and help people engage in timely opportunities and critical needs.

Celebration
In 2024, Open & Local will host our community’s 7th cross-sector celebration of open land and local food! (It would have been our 9th annual… oh covid.)
First held in 2016, this outdoor chef-enabled potluck connects, recognizes and celebrates the incredible network of community members working to strengthen local food pathways.

Community Harvest
This collaborative initiative invites community members to participate in the growing and gleaning of local foods for three simple reasons:
offer opportunities to learn and work alongside farmers, garden managers, and neighbors
help those growing local food when extra hands are needed
because community matters!
